Induction Week for New Starters

Our Induction Week is a series of courses, grouped together into a single programme, that provides your new trainees with all the practical training they need in their new roles.

Now delivered as virtual classrooms, your trainees will still benefit from the same level of expert knowledge, professional lecturers and peer networking, as on our face to face equivalent courses.

Our Induction Week programme will equip your new starters with knowledge in:

  • Bookkeeping: Covering the fundamentals in bookkeeping, accounts preparation and types of business.
  • Introduction to VAT: We will familiarise attendees with scope of VAT, accounting for VAT and the VAT return.
  • Making the Right Start with Clients and Colleagues: Introducing the importance of good communication skills, being professional, body language basics and telephone tips.

We recommend that you can book the Induction week as a complete five-day programme, and your trainees must have access to a laptop, webcam and excel to complete all activities on the course.

You can book each course individually if you prefer and the week is made up of the following individual courses:

  • Monday - Bookkeeping: The First Principles
  • Tuesday - Bookkeeping: The Next Stage
  • Wednesday and Thursday - Bookkeeping Case Study Day 1 and Day 2
  • Friday AM - Introduction to VAT
  • Friday PM - Professional Skills: Making the Right Start with Colleagues and Clients

Please note: We also offer a 4-day programme on Tuesday 31 August 2021 to Friday 3 September 2021, if the VAT and Professional Skills courses are not relevant for your firm.
