Practical Workshops

Give your juniors the best start in their training

Our Practical Workshops give you the flexibility to train junior members of your team in basic principles across a range of topics. These include Accounting and Auditing, Personal and Business Tax and other niche areas such as Charities, FCA clients and SRA Accounts Rules.

Book onto our highly practical workshops and benefit from:

  • Varied ways of learning - our lecturers use visuals, exercises and role play scenarios
  • Small intimate training groups - allowing for your team's individual needs to be met
  • Career development and progression from first starting out to becoming fully qualified

Our Practical Workshops are now available through Mercia Live (our virtual classrooms), on-demand or as face to face workshops (when guidance allows).

In House courses are also available, tailor-made to your teams' specific requirements and designed to your own company's procedures.

Don't forget, if you are already a Whole Firm Member, our face to face, Mercia Live and on-demand practical workshops are included as part of your membership. You can simply book on to our practical workshops using your online account.

Available in a variety of different formats, our practical workshops include:

Mercia Live

Complementing our usual programme of practical workshops, the addition of Mercia Live offers enhanced and greater flexibility.

With additional dates and timings to choose from, our virtual classroom solution still includes activities you would expect on a face to face practical workshop, including case studies and question and answer opportunities.

On-Demand

Through a mixture of practical tuition and case studies, our on-demand practical workshops will provide your team with the skills to fulfil their roles.

We have a range of interactive e-learning modules, including quizzes throughout and a test at the end to ensure clear understanding. Our updates and niche area workshops are also available as recorded webinars, which you can watch at your own pace.

Face to face

We will continue to monitor the government guidance closely. We sincerely hope that we can return to venues from 1 August 2021 and will keep you updated with any changes.

When back at venues, we will ensure measures are put in place to help keep you safe and well.
